7 MAHSA Students Selected as Awardees of UNIVERSITAS INDONESIA Credit Earning Mobility Programme




Seven MAHSA University students from Faculty of Health Sciences and Centre of Education and Language were invited to join a special credit earning mobility programme named UI-CREATES at UNIVERSITAS INDONESIA which is the No.1 ranked University in Indonesia for Medical and Health Sciences. This special privilege was granted by the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, MS., D.Sc

Besides MAHSA University, 2 other universities were invited to attend this collaborative program, ie. MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY, which is the No.1 ranked university in Thailand for Health Sciences and UNIVERSITY MALAYA which is the No.1 ranked university in Malaysia.
The opening ceremony and the exchange of the Agreement of Implementation for this reciprocal student mobility programme between the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia and Faculty of Health Sciences, MAHSA University took place on 1st October 2022 at Gedung G FKM, Universitas Indonesia. The event was attended by Prof Dr. Mondastri Sudaryo, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Deputy Deans Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc and Dr. Milla Herdayati, SKM, M.Si, , Head of Environmental Health Department Dr. drg. Ririn Arminsih Wulandari, M.Kes, Manager of International Relations Dr. Indri Hapsari, and members of the faculty. Assoc Prof. Dr. Veronica Chua Poh Choo, Senior Director Academic and Dean Faculty of Health Sciences attended from MAHSA UnIversity.



The UI-CREATES award covers all accommodation costs at the on-campus hotel, local transport as well as daily breakfast for the selected MAHSA students. During their 2 weeks stay MAHSA students will attend interactive lectures on a wide range of topics and attend practical sessions on topics such as Geographical Information System: data collection, spatial analysis and thematic mapping. They will also be taken on learning visits to a water treatment plant, automobile assembly plant to see the environmental health and occupational safety and health practices in Indonesia Faculty of Health Sciences is very glad that our students have the opportunity to learn at the top public university in Indonesia together with students from 2 other public nationally ranked No.1 universities from Asia. To be the best we must learn from the best and with the best.




We are certain that FOHS, MAHSA students will be able to broaden their perspective in their respective fields through such international learning programmes, especially programmes organized by leading universities such as Universitas Indonesia. At MAHSA University, we always try to offer more to our students beyond the mandatory teaching and learning of their respective programmes. We believe international exposure and experiential learning are valuable add-ons that will make our graduates stand out in the competitive employment market.


The Faculty of Health Sciences of MAHSA University is extremely proud to partner the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Indonesia and hope this collaboration will provide a richer international learning experience for students in both universities. The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
