Dengue Control Talk and MAHSA Dengue Shield Kit Distribution

 

On 23/10/2022 the ICP Project team from FOHS, MAHSA University conducted their first Dengue Control talk and demonstration for neighbourhoods surrounding LRT3 constructions sites at Masjid Al-Ma’Muriah, Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara. This talk was co-organized with Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) and supported by MRCB Builders, TDA and Ministry of Housing and Local Government, Malaysia.

Attendees of the talk were given a MAHSA Dengue Shield Kit containing multiple dengue control modalities, and taught how to use each modality to effectively combat Dengue.

We would like to thank  En. Ramli bin Haji Daud, MPKK Chairman of Kg. Sg. Kayu Ara, Ustaz Nazri Tajuddin, Nazir Masjid Al-Ma’muriah Kayu Ara, and all the residents of Kg. Sg Ara for embracing this initiative and their active participation.

Our deepest gratitude to Mr. Ong Poo Soon Deputy Director of Health MBPJ and Pn. Mas Ayu Ahmad, Assistant Director (Vector Unit) MBPJ as well as their team of MBPJ officers who helped organize this event and provided technical support to MAHSA’s project team.

We hope that this quadripartite initiative involving Academia, Industry, Government and Community will be the beginning for more effective and environmentally-friendly Dengue control in Malaysia.
