Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) has now become a fundamental factor to the future of businesses and organizations. The advancement of technology in AI/ML, has served a new prospect for us, however, it comes with its own set of challenges. The emergence of Gen Z is slowly taking over as the largest percentage of the workforce, IT professionals need to foresee the essential skills needed to prepare them to cope up with the emerging world of artificial intelligence.
Whether we like it or not, we need to embrace this new frontier in technology. AI and ML are not just becoming one of the fundamental aspects in today’s technology but having a great impact and transforming all kinds of industries. These industries range from healthcare in the public sector to the retail trade, and developing skills in artificial intelligence in Gen-Z and continually sharpening them will keep organizations advancing and striving into the futures and at the same time super-charging careers.
The ability to identify and becoming forefront in technology trends is becoming a mainstream factor in attaining the new competitive advantage for successful organizations and leaders. This has been set in motion with a fact that AI adoption across various industries will contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030. This opens up a new horizon for new potential and exciting roles to be emerged.
Gen Z right now is more that the post-millennial digital natives. They are now currently starting to be a part of the workforce, and they’ve got massive influence in this digital realm. This comes with a fact that; Gen Z will make up 30% of the workforce by 2030. Now, the one question to remains to be answered, is how can organizations play their roles in bridging the gap between the sought-after AI skills and the young generation which will be the one to take on these challenges. Strategic thinking, business-driven outcomes to AI methodologies, combined with learning in the working environment will be the best choice for this next generation to get involved in.
