Empowering Nurses: MAHSA Leads the Way in Patient-Centered Care

  MAHSA University recently hosted the 2nd Urban Vision event at Haniffa Business School (HBS), a pivotal gathering aimed at redefining the role of nurses in contemporary healthcare. The event, themed "Nursing the Future: Collaborating for Patient-Centred Care," was organised by the Faculty of Health Science, the Student Experience Student Success Committee, and the Partnership Office of MAHSA University. MAHSA University Extends a Warm Welcome to the Sudanese Ambassador

  On 19th January 2025, MAHSA University's flagship campus in Bandar Saujana Putra had the distinct honour of hosting His Excellency Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, the Sudanese Ambassador to Malaysia. The visit was part of our International Student Experience Day, themed "Sudanese Tradition: A Journey Through Culture and Heritage."  His Excellency engaged with our diverse student body, particularly the Sudanese students, in a celebration of cultural diversity and heritage.  Following a guided tour of the university, which highlighted our recent activities and achievements, the ambassador met with the Vice-Chancellor of MAHSA University, Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Ikram Shah bin Ismail. MAHSA DOCTORAL GRADUATE WINS NATIONAL AWARD IN INDONESIA

Ns. Mustopa, M. Kep, a recent PhD graduate from the Faculty of Health Science, Nursing and Education at MAHSA University, has been honoured with Indonesia’s Health Ministry National award for his extraordinary dedication in building and developing health services at the world's largest archipelagic state – Indonesia.   Driven by extraordinary passion and desire to provide quality health care service for everyone, Dr. Mustopa successfully created an integrated health service model in Islamic boarding schools for local residents and the Husnul Khotimah Islamic Boarding School. This brought a significant positive impact on the health status of Islamic boarding school students and religious teachers in the region. The Educational Trip to Bank Negara Museum proved to be an enriching and insightful experience for the 80 students enrolled in the Macroeconomic course. Held on February 1, 2024, the trip provided students with a unique opportunity to gain practical knowledge and firsthand insights into the workings of Bank Negara Museum. On January 31, 2024, The Spine buzzed with excitement as students enrolled in the entrepreneurship course unveiled their vibrant and culturally enriching event – the Entrepreneurship Booth. We are extremely happy and proud to introduce MAHSA Association of Physiotherapy Students (MAPS) new committee members for 2024–25. On January 26th 2024, the new MAPS committee was installed in a ceremony at MAHSA University's SPC campus. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing and Education, Assoc. Choose the Best, Choose MAHSA! Medical Imaging Graduates Employability 2022

Employability is defined as being fit or appropriate for graduate-level employment. It cannot guarantee that you will get a job. According to Graduate Tracer Study, by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in 2021, 14.5% or 41,467 Malaysian graduates are still unemployed. Graduates from public and private universities, polytechnics, community colleges, and public skill training facilities run by different ministries, as well as graduates from other higher education institutions make up this group. 14,595 of those represent public universities, 18,391 represent private universities, and the others are from other institutions. Mohd Fazhan Azmi from FOHS Wins Vice-Chancellor's Prize 2022

On 26th November 2022, MAHSA University held its 21st Convocation to celebrate and award students on the completion of their studies. At this event one of our students from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FOHS) Mohd Fahzan bin Azmi won the Vice Chancellor’s Prize for his exceptional achievement in his studies. MOhd Fazhan completed the Bachelor of Environmental Health and Safety (Hons) Programme during which he made it into the Dean’s List for every semester and obtained a final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.78. He is Mohd Fahzan bin Azmi, who is a working adult, a husband and a father went through many ups and downs to complete his studies as he entered the program in April 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. As he was working as an Assistant Environmental Health Officer in a district health office, he was actively involved in communicable disease prevention and control including the fight against COVID-19. Ms Vimalla Kerisnan, a Senior HR Executive at Everlife-Chemopharm shared her experience on internship and highlights how it would actually benefit both employers and the students. It is important to understand the concept of internship itself for us to appreciate the values that will be gained from the internship.  Internship is a short-term work experience offered by companies—usually students, but not always—to get some entry-level exposure to a particular industry or field.
