  On November 7, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and IT organised an engaging visit to Radio Television Malaysia (RTM). Eight lecturers and fourteen students from the Electrical Engineering program took part, warmly welcomed by Mr. Afif, Ms. Anne, and Ms. Ain of RTM, who made our experience truly memorable. Our tour began with a visit to the control rooms of Nasional FM and Traxx FM, where we learnt the ins and outs of broadcasting. Our students even got hands-on experience conducting live on-air sessions, a unique opportunity to see how electrical engineering principles are applied in real-time radio transmission.   Next, we visited Studio M1, the largest at RTM, used for live recordings and entertainment broadcasts. On 29th February 2024, FOEBEIT organised Pre-OBE training for the staff for 1 hour. Begin by providing lecturers with a comprehensive overview of the principles and philosophy behind outcome-based education. This includes understanding the shift from focusing on teaching inputs to emphasizing desired learning outcomes. This training train lecturers in writing clear, measurable, and achievable learning outcomes. They should understand the difference between course goals, program outcomes, and specific learning objectives. Provide examples and templates to guide them in crafting effective learning outcomes. Aligning Curriculum and Assessment: Educate lecturers on the importance of aligning curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment methods with the defined learning outcomes. This involves designing teaching activities and assessments that directly measure students' attainment of the desired outcomes.

On 29th February 2024, Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) students under community work course dedicated their time to volunteer at the Malaysia Animal Society in KL. This experience not only taught them essential skills like cleaning and animal care but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards animals. Volunteering provides opportunities for students to develop and enhance a wide range of skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and time management. These skills are valuable both in academic settings and in future careers. Volunteering fosters a sense of civic responsibility and encourages students to actively engage with their communities. It helps them develop empathy, compassion, and a greater awareness of social issues, leading to a commitment to making positive contributions to society.                

The Mobile Legends E-Sports Gaming Tournament was an event where competitive players came together to compete in the popular mobile game "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang." Participating in Mobile Legends e-sports gaming tournaments offered several benefits to students: It helped in developing strategic thinking: Mobile Legends is a game that required strategic thinking, teamwork, and quick decision-making. Participating in tournaments helped students develop and enhance these skills, which were valuable in various aspects of life, including academics and future careers. It improved communication and teamwork: E-sports tournaments often involved teamwork and collaboration among team members. Students learned how to communicate effectively, coordinate strategies, and work together towards a common goal. 33 students, accompanied by Mr. Suria from the FOEBEIT embarked on a hiking trip at Wawasan Hill Puchong. Despite the challenging terrain, which took 2 hours to complete 5km, most students enjoyed the trek to the peak, although some slowed down due to steep sections. It was a memorable journey, with the group reaching the highest level of the trail in just 40 minutes. This year's  hiking event was organized by the IMECHE Student Club Team 2024, under the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology. Special thanks to Badr, Li, Imam, Fawad, Amy, Syazani, Krishna, and Ms. Fitrah for their outstanding contributions. Your dedication made this event a success.

4th MAHSA International Technology and Engineering Conference 2024 (Mi-TEC 2024) organised by the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology, in collaboration with KS Rangasamy College of Technology, India, and SHRDC Shah Alam, Malaysia. The event was held on 23rd – 24th February 2024. Mi-TEC 2024 aims to bring together academicians, researchers and industrial professionals from all over world to share their experiences in the field of engineering and technology. It provides a platform for researchers, educators and students to present and discuss the most recent innovations, practical challenges and solutions adopted in their fields.
