  On 19th January 2025, MAHSA University's flagship campus in Bandar Saujana Putra had the distinct honour of hosting His Excellency Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, the Sudanese Ambassador to Malaysia. What a way to start the year! MAHSA University is already making headlines in 2025, securing an impressive 8th place in the Unite the Nations competition, part of the super cool Time Project. This fantastic achievement was driven by the passionate efforts of Dr. Vinibha Rajakumari Illankovan from the Centre for Pre-University Studies. In a powerful stride towards public health awareness, MAHSA University recently hosted a transformative two-day HPV vaccination campaign that promises to be a game-changer in the fight against cancer. Aligning with the upcoming Malaysian Association for Cancer Research (MACR) conference, the event emerged as a beacon of hope and education.  The stark statistics are impossible to ignore. Human papillomavirus (HPV) stands as the most common sexually transmitted infection globally, with devastating potential. The National Cancer Society Malaysia reveals that cervical cancer remains the third most common cancer affecting women in the country. “This is our Time” originated from the UNESCO Associated Schools Project. Currently, this project is organized by Time Project Headquarters in Canada in cooperation with Time Ambassadors, who are expert teachers who have been involved with the Time Project in organizing for years. Our mission is to empower youth to understand and act on the world’s greatest challenges as they are the future of our world. Centre for pre-University Studies had multiple Video conferences with schools from around the world on 08/12/23. The countries we had conferences with include Croatia, Taiwan, Poland, Canada, and India. The interaction and cultural exchange were intriguing and awakening so our students had a wonderful time. This project is the epitome of fun learning. This platform truly helped students express their voices. The topics discussed were Global Refugee Crisis, Rising Temperature of the planet and Artificial Intelligence Pros and Cons. Video conferencing 

Looking back one year ago, I was still deciding which university to pursue my dream course. I went the extra mile on doing research on medical university in Malaysia. I compared the scholarship offered, tuition fee, and even visited the universities one by one to observe the environment. I chose MAHSA University out of the other universities, mainly due to the adequate facilities specialized for every course. I am also fascinated by the sport complex which has well-equipped gym facilities and Olympic depth swimming pool. On 31 May 2023, the May 2023 Intake Foundation students, accompanied by Student Central, embarked on an exhilarating field trip to the annual International Book Festival at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Bullying is a widespread problem in schools worldwide. It is characterized by repeated aggressive behaviors aimed at intimidating, harassing or harming an individual, either physically or mentally. An exploration race is always an exciting and engaging way to explore a new place and challenge oneself. Recently, a group of students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Engku Husain participated in an explorace that required them to gather clues around their campus to ultimately solve a murder mystery. The clues were located at different locations, including the Library, Water Fountain, Ballroom, Habitat, Amphitheatre, Hostel, and Unity Lobby. The participants gathered in the Unity Lobby for a short briefings. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as the students eagerly awaited their instructions. The organizers divided them into three groups, each with a set of clues to find. The participants were given an hour to search for the clues, which were hidden in various locations around the campus. The Centre for Pre-University Studies and Centre for Education and Language successfully organized the MAHSA International Conference on Education and Applied Science (Mi-EdAS) 2022 . The conference started with its live streamed opening ceremony via Facebook and YouTube and was professionally emceed by Ms Muness Priya.  The inaugural address was given by Prof. Ir. Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Samad followed by Professor Dato’ Dr. Ikram Shah Bin Ismail who officiated the conference.  Unexpectedly, it ended earlier than planned. The Centre for Pre-University Studies organised its  Commencing Your Skills  event on October 13, 2022, led by Mdm Nor Diana binti Zulkifli who successfully unleashed the talents of the students. Every person has been endowed with unique skills, talents, and capacities. We are diverse and unique from one another since we have various interests. One person might excel at music but struggle with painting, while another person might excel at dance but struggle with writing. These abilities are what makes someone an artist, and everyone of them can contribute to the production of art when applied effectively. Eight people took part in this session and they were all Foundation in Science students. They performed songs and dances to showcase their skills, making it such a fantastic event. My experience pursuing a foundation in science at MAHSA University is a memory I will cherish and hold very close to my heart. Studying in MAHSA’s Foundation program was a well-rounded experience as I was able to have a healthy study-life balance. Besides classroom learning, students were actively involved in practical lessons, programs run by the Center for Pre-University Studies, and weekly activities led by foundation students. MAHSA’s Foundation Program stands out due to its quality of teaching and highly experienced lecturers. Lecturers are able to impart knowledge effectively and prioritize students’ needs at all times. The lecturers teach passionately and are prepared to hold consultation classes to ensure students do not feel left behind in their studies.
