1st Kidney Club in Malaysia by MAHSA University and National Kidney Foundation Malaysia

MAHSA is proud to announce its collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the launch of the First Kidney Club in Malaysia which took place today, 7th Oct 2022, at MAHSA University. This effort is the brainchild of Ms Reanugah Rajendren, our Final Year MBBS Student, who served as a volunteer with NKF and discovered a constructive path that could narrow the gap in educating the public on kidney health.
Ms Renu's idea for a Kidney Club was greatly supported by Ms Khor, CEO of NKF, Professor Datuk Dr Razak, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience and Nursing, and the support of MAHSA University's Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato Dr Ikram Shah. The Kidney Club will serve as the first of its kind to create deeper awareness to the community through tertiary students and their active participation for this cause through various activities & studies for the public. Peer-to-peer knowledge and awareness sharing can create a ripple effect in how everyone approaches life, and with this a healthier population of Malaysians can lead towards lowering the number of kidney patients in the country, said Ms Khor, who was greatly appreciative of Ms Renu's efforts in making this happen.

Follow us for more updates on this new venture and congratulations to the team at the Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience, and Nursing, and the team from the National Kidney Foundation. Kudos and #BeMORE!
