MAHSA Dental Alumni (MADAM) successfully hosted yet another
sharing session by alumni for the alumni on 19th August 2022.
Setting up a dental practice from scratch can be downright overwhelming. Dr.
Kartick Arumugam, who is MAHSA University first batch dental alumni and founder
of Smile Boutique Sdn. Bhd., shared about the Dos & Don’ts in setting up
and renovating dental clinics. He informed that the biggest hurdles for dental
clinics renovation included funding, location and licensing. In particular, the
layout of dental clinic’s floor plan must comply with the regulations set by
the Ministry of Health before allowed to operate. As many of the decisions made
would be crucial to the success of dental practice, he commented that it is
important to ensure proper initial planning.
