MAHSA University and Chiang Mai UnIversity Launch Academic Collaboration with Student Mobility Programmes for Physiotherapy and Medical Imaging

 


MAHSA University celebrates another international academic collaboration with Chiang Mai University, (CMU) Thailand in the field of Health Sciences.

A ceremony was held on 1st August 2022 at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences (AMS) of Chiang Mai University Thailand for the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Chiang Mai University and MAHSA University represented by  the Dean of AMS CMU, Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FOHS) and Senior Director Academic of MAHSA University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veronica Chua respectively.

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aatit Paungmali,  Associate Dean in Research and International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchada Cressey, Assistant Dean in Research and International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Samatchai Chamnongkich, Head Physical Therapy Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Suchart Keatwatanacharoen, Head of Radiologic Technology and other AMS staff.

In his opening address, Prof. Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert welcomed the collaboration with MAHSA University and reiterated the importance of transnational collaboration in higher education to provide graduates with an international perspective of their chosen fields

This MoU is intended to facilitate academic and research collaboration as well as student exchange between FOHS MAHSA University and AMS Chiang Mai University, particularly in the fields of Physiotherapy and Medical Imaging.



The MOA exchange was followed by  the launch of the maiden  student mobility program between the our 2 universities, involving  2 MAHSA students from the Bachelor in Physiotherapy program attending a 2 weeks programme from 1stth till 14th August 2022. During this period, these MAHSA students will get to visit Rajanagarindra Institute of Child development, attend special classes on Thai massage and hydrotherapy, visit Sarahibowonpattana Hospital to learn acupuncture and many more unique learning activities while experiencing the culture and heritage of Chiang Mai city. MAHSA students will be able to broaden their perspective in Physiotherapy and Medical Imaging through this collaboration as Chiang Mai University is a public university that is constantly ranked  among the top 3 universities in Thailand.

We are certain our students will benefit from these opportunities which we provide for them to obtain international exposure and added knowledge during the duration of their studies here at MAHSA University

The Faculty of Health Sciences of MAHSA University is extremely proud to partner the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences Chiang Mai University and hope this collaboration will provide a richer learning experience for our Health Science students and open the way for more cooperation between MAHSA University and Chiang Mai University in other areas.
