Industrial Collaboration Meeting with MIMLS and Medic Skills


A campus visit was conducted on 17th July 2022 with the Malaysian Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MIMLS) President and Medicskills Sdn. Bhd. to discuss future collaboration with MAHSA University for various events such as organising 7th Congress of the Asia Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists in Malaysia in 2023 (Student Forum) and commercialisation efforts of laboratory facility and services. 

The visit and initial discussion was participated by the President of MIMLS, Mdm Harvinder Kaur Lakhbeer Singh, Mr Melvin and Mdm Nur Amirul Farhana from Medic Skills. The members visited various places, including the clinical skills lab, anatomy suite, and laboratory facilities in Unity and Empathy Building of MAHSA University. 

The visit and discussion were led by Ms Ketharin (Head, School of Bioscience), Mdm Sajna Keeyari Purayil (Program Coordinator BBSH), and Mr Sajeesh pattammadath (Program Coordinator DMLT). A special thanks to Mr Hadi (Clinical Skill labs), Ms Jacintha (Laboratory Manager) and Mr Mahalingam (Anatomy Suite) who have facilitated  in providing a grand tour for our visiting guests. 

A huge appreciation to Prof Vetri (Deputy Dean Undergraduate, FOMBN) for his valuable time in accompanying the group for our visit in Anatomy Suite.  Our guests were very impressed and appreciated the well kept state-of-art facilities in MAHSA University and planned to collaborate in near future.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. The MedPath event took place at MAHSA University, providing an immersive experience for students from Kwang Hua Private High School in Klang. The event was meticulously organized, offering a diverse range of activities tailored to enlighten and guide students on their potential paths towards a career in medicine.
