In the present age and time, every walk of life is profoundly impacted and influenced by technology and this rapid development in the field of technology is exponentially changing the world and has greatly impacted the field of education and this is succinctly expressed in the following words of Jenny Arlerdge : “Technology can become the “wings” that will allow the educational world to fly farther and faster than ever before – if we allow it.”

The use of educational technology incorporates using information and communication technologies to greatly enhance the learning experience of the students. Ed-tech (Educational technology) is not limited to information and communication technologies but also the incorporation and use of advanced technologies in the form of advanced equipment which greatly advances learning and clinical understanding. The paramount importance of incorporating advanced technologies in the field of education and it’s beneficial impact is so tangible, for instance, technology has influenced how teaching is delivered, facilitated and enabled distance learning, and has opened access to the immense amount of information that is helping the students to learn new skills and knowledge. The way students assimilate knowledge is greatly influenced by technology.

At MAHSA University, great importance is given to incorporating modern technologies in the form of digitized learning platforms and utilising modern equipment to facilitate and enhance the learning experience to a new level

The school of physiotherapy at FOHS, MAHSA University has been continuously and diligently pursuing to utilize technology to empower students with an excellent learning experience.

It gives me immense pleasure and pride to state that MAHSA University School of Physiotherapy, has state of an art 3-D & 2-D gait analysis lab, which is a multi-faceted system that could be used for Neurorehabilitation, sports, industrial medicine, Wellness/injury prevention, medical fitness and gait analysis. The students are constantly encouraged and involved in learning how to operate the 3-D&2-D gait analysis unit and interpret the data. This is not an end but just a beginning in the quest for knowledge which will greatly help our stakeholders to receive a world-class education to always strive to be the torchbearers for the motto “MAHSA Be More”

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
