Choose the Best, Choose MAHSA! Medical Imaging Graduates Employability 2022

Employability is defined as being fit or appropriate for graduate-level employment. It cannot guarantee that you will get a job. According to Graduate Tracer Study, by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in 2021, 14.5% or 41,467 Malaysian graduates are still unemployed. Graduates from public and private universities, polytechnics, community colleges, and public skill training facilities run by different ministries, as well as graduates from other higher education institutions make up this group. 14,595 of those represent public universities, 18,391 represent private universities, and the others are from other institutions.

MAHSA University’s 21st Convocation was held on the 26th of November 2022. During the convocation ceremony, 33 students from the Faculty of Health Sciences were awarded Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Hons) and 13 students were awarded with Diploma in Medical Imaging.

Based on the collected data in January 2023, the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Hons) and the Diploma in Medical Imaging graduates from MAHSA University managed to secure employment within the period of two to five months upon completion of the study. This is a testament to the quality and recognition of MAHSA’s Medical Imaging qualifications. Our graduates are recognised in the industry as being very well-versed with most of recent technology and skill sets needed for the profession and the adaptable to new changes. Such attributes does not only make our graduates the preferred choice of recruiters, but also ensure that they will be able to ascend the professional pathway of their careers rapidly

MAHSA University’s Medical Imaging programmes trains qualified radiographers in the expert use of radiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT scan) and ultrasound for the purpose of diagnosing diseases and injuries. This degree and diploma in medical imaging programmes (also called Medical Diagnostic Radiography) will qualify graduates as radiographers who are highly respected and in great demand in hospitals and medical centres around the world.

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
