Mandibular & Maxillary Reconstruction - Application of 3D Modelling and 3D Printing

On  the18th and 19th of February 2023, MAHSA's Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology conducted a 3D printing CPD course in collaboration with Faculty of Dentistry which was participated by 28 external participants from other universities and industry. The topic for this course was related to the application of 3D Modelling and 3D printing to improve their knowledge and skills in the maxillary and mandibular reconstruction. Useing digital technology and 3D printing to plan and achieved good aesthetic outcomes and functional rehabilitation using a low-cost approach, this workshop was well received by its participants.

With the theme Achieving Optimal Results Using Computer-aided Planning, this course was delivered by several experts in the field such as Prof Settakorn Pongpanich, Prof Dr Senthil Murugan, Assoc Prof Dr G. Padmanabha,Prof Dato Wan Mahadzir. Dr Mohammad Adzwin Yahiya and Dr Syahir Hassan.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. PMOA shared this announcement on their social media on September 30th. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year. Ns. Mustopa, M.
