Magazine Writing Workshop

The Magazine Writing Workshop which was held on the 6th of June, aimed at providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of magazine writing. Throughout the workshop, Ms Siti Nurul Nadiya facilitated the students and exposed them to various techniques, tips, and best practices for crafting engaging magazine articles.

The workshop commenced with an insightful session on the art of magazine writing. Students learned about the importance of understanding the target audience, conducting thorough research, and developing a unique writing style. The session emphasized the significance of storytelling, capturing the reader’s attention, and conveying information effectively through compelling narratives.

Students were introduced to different article formats, such as feature articles, profiles, and investigative pieces. The session also covered techniques for crafting captivating headlines, subheadings, and introductions, as well as organizing content in a logical and coherent manner. Practical exercises allowed students to apply these principles and receive feedback on their writing.

Students also learned how to select and use appropriate images, infographics, and other visual elements to enhance their written content. The workshop covered topics such as copyright considerations, image sourcing, and incorporating visuals effectively to complement the text.

Overall, the Magazine Writing Workshop proved to be an invaluable experience for all students, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the world of magazine writing. The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
