How are Micro-credentials Changing the Future of Education?

Micro-credentials are changing the way we think about education, and the impact they are having on the future of learning is significant. These short, focused courses and programs allow learners to earn recognition for specific skills or competencies, which can be achieved in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional degree programs. As a result, micro-credentials offer learners greater flexibility, accessibility, and relevance, and are helping to bridge the skills gap that exists in many industries. One of the most significant ways in which micro-credentials are changing the future of education is by enhancing flexibility. Learners can earn micro-credentials on their own schedule, and often at their own pace. This makes it easier for learners to acquire new skills and knowledge while juggling other responsibilities, such as work and family obligations. In addition, the short duration of micro-credentials means that learners can quickly adapt to changing industry demands and acqui

Micro-credentials in the Current Engineering Demands

In today's rapidly changing and competitive job market, having a strong set of technical skills and knowledge is essential for success in the engineering field. Traditional degrees and certifications are still valuable, but they can take years to complete and may not always provide the specific, up-to-date skills and knowledge that employers are looking for. This is where micro-credentials come in. A micro-credential is a type of certification that recognizes and validates a specific skill or area of knowledge. Unlike traditional certifications, which can be broad and general in nature, micro-credentials are focused on smaller, more targeted areas of expertise, and can be earned in a shorter amount of time. This makes them an ideal solution for engineers looking to build their skills, demonstrate their expertise, and stay competitive in a rapidly changing job market. One of the key benefits of micro-credentials is that they are flexible and accessible. Engineers can earn them throu

Beach Cleaning & Hygiene Awareness Activity with Seremban Municipal Council

Community service is an important part of the extra-curricular activities organized for the students in the Bachelor of Environmental Health and Safety (Hons) from Faculty of Health Sciences, MAHSA University. Communication with Young Children

A new language is difficult to learn. In reality, studies have shown that it gets significantly harder to learn a new language after early childhood. However, kids are quite good at picking up new languages. They seem to naturally understand grammar and syntax and pick up language quickly. Yet how? Language acquisition theory was created by Noam Chomsky to explain this occurrence. Chomsky asserts that language acquisition is a natural talent. He names it a language acquisition device, and it is present in all newborns. Theoretically speaking, a language acquisition device is a tool. It is used as evidence for how quickly youngsters pick up language and comprehend it. This area of the brain is not physically present like hypothalamus or medulla oblongata. The term "language acquisition device" (LAD) refers to a broad range of intricate mechanisms that the brain uses to acquire new languages. Humans have evolved a complex language with structure and norms in comparison to other

Storytelling and Children’s Literacy

Nowadays, not only adults but kids spend most of their hours in front of an digital device such as tablet, television, etc. These attachment to devices are not just a mimicking of adult behaviour around them but an avenue to fulfil their emotional needs. To counter this unhealthy behaviour, storytelling can be employed as one way to engage with children where the child can expose and share their emotions and experiences. Storytelling sessions is also an interactive way to boost literacy development in children. Narrating stories to children help to support their development in language. Children enjoy listening to different intonations, expressions, words used and the characters that they represent. Stories not only teach moral values, but also provides a platform to learn vocabulary. As they listen to stories, children are able to hear how the words are pronounced and sentence structures are constructed. Through listening, children develop their language comprehension and use in conve
