MAHSA Exchange-Students in Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (2020)

With the pandemic finally giving way for international travels once again, MAHSA's Research, Innovation, and Enterprise (RIE) Committee led by Prof. Dr. Srikumar Chakravarthi and his team have taken this opportunity to kick-start the student exchange program for MAHSA University as part of the terms stated in the Memorandum of Understanding with Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. This student exchange program for a summer internship will take place in July this year. This is the second such program to be organized between Sathyabama and MAHSA University with the first held in 2019.

For the last three decades, Sathyabama has been known to excel in the fields of Engineering, Science, and Technology offering multi-disciplinary academic programmes in various fields of Engineering, Science, Technology, Law, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Management, Arts and Science and Allied Health Sciences.  MAHSA is honoured to have its students embark on an exchange programme that would offer them educational and cultural experiences through faculty interaction, and other various activities.

Back in 2019, thirty students from Sathayabama came over to MAHSA and the following year twenty-six of our students went over to India. This exchange was for students from the Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, and Medical Laboratory Technology programmes. Student exchange programmes provide many benefits, mainly aiding a student to be more employable, globally aware, and adaptable as it provides global connections and global networking.
