Leading the Way in the Metaverse

2 June 2022: NFT MALAYSIA CLUB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAHSA University  (MAHSA) in an effort to empower and lead the development of the country's NFT industry through education. This milestone puts MAHSA University as the first university in collaboration with NFT Club Malaysia in its effort to set the trend in emerging technologies and lead the way in the Metaverse. The collaboration also aims at strengthening skills and academics in the teaching, training, research and development of NFT. It also includes study programmes, information exchange and expertise sharing.

This collaboration also involves the exchange of knowledge between researchers, faculty members and students through the organisation of NFT and METAVERSE conferences at domestic and international levels. According to NFT Malaysia Club President, Mr. Shafuddin Zaharulzaman, the MoU is a start towards greater cooperation in the future.

A unique plan to create an academic program in the field of Digital Economics to help digital entrepreneurs and those who are interested in learning more about the real digital world is also in the pipeline, with various other plans drawn up by both parties in an effort to develop and boost the Digital Industry, especially the NFT sector in the country, and it is hoped that through this cooperation, it will open opportunities to explore international markets.

As a first step, the NFT Malaysia Club and MAHSA will hold training workshops for the purpose of educating in more detail about NFT throughout Malaysia under the network of MAHSA Group. More details on the tour will be published on the NFT Malaysia Club and MAHSA social media platforms.

The MoU signing ceremony was sealed by NFT Malaysia Club President Mr Shafuddin Zaharulzaman together with MAHSA University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dato' Dr. Ikram Shah, and witnessed by MAHSA Group Managing Director, Dato 'Dr Shahril, Chief Operating Office of MAHSA Educational Institutions, Prof. Dr. Alla Kesava Rao, Honorary Members of NFT Malaysia Club, Brother Zed Zaidi, Mr. Zizan Nin and Mr. Edrie Hashim.

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are becoming a lucrative source of income worldwide, but to many, this is still a new territory that requires knowledge and understanding to break the skepticism of the industry. MAHSA intends to be the pioneer in providing this knowledge through this collaboration with NFT Club.
