Karnival Jom Heboh BABA’S Pulau Pinang

Chef Qayyum Irwanzi from the Centre of Hospitality Management at MAHSA University was invited to serve as a chef ambassador for cooking demonstrations by BABAs during the Carnival "Jom Heboh". Each day, Chef Qayyum Irwanzi conducted four live cooking sessions, reaching nearly 360,000 visitors who attended the event in Stadium Pulau Pinang. On the final day of the event, the Chief Minister of Pulau Pinang joined the cooking demonstration. The event garnered extensive publicity through newspapers, television coverage, radio broadcasts, and various social media platforms.

Cook With Pride with Chef Qayyum

Chef Qayyum Irwanzi, hailing from the Centre of Hospitality Management, received an invitation to serve as a guest speaker, sharing his nearly decade-long expertise in the food and beverages industry. His insightful session was specifically tailored for breast cancer survivors, focusing on the importance of healthy eating. The event featured not only Chef Qayyum's enlightening presentation but also engaging hands-on cooking activities where participants had the opportunity to prepare several nutritious dishes. Furthermore, all attendees enthusiastically took part in a cooking demonstration session. Dato Azrene Abdullah, the Chairman of the Breast Cancer Foundation, graced the occasion with her presence, adding prestige to the event. O Week -July 2023 Intake

The orientation event for the July intake foundation students was held from the 4th until the 7th of July 2023. The purpose of this event was to welcome and introduce the new students to the university, provide them with essential information, and help them settle into their new academic environment. The orientation aimed to create a positive and engaging experience, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring a smooth transition for the students as they embark on their educational journey. MAHSA International Medical Technology Conference

  Faculty of Medicine, MAHSA University conducted MAHSA international Medical Technology conference (MiMED2023) on 28th and 29th July 2023. Totally 175 participants attended the hybrid conference. 55 abstracts were presented during this conference.

Twin Tower Model-Making Competition

The Twin Tower Model-Making Competition was a captivating event that brought together talented and enthusiastic participants to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship in building twin tower models. 1st Distinguished Lecture Series 2023

MAHSA University had the esteemed privilege of hosting Datuk Dr. Kuljit Singh on the 6th of July as the eminent speaker at the 1st Distinguished Lecture Series for 2023. The lecture, titled “Challenges in Healthcare in Malaysia in the 21st Century with the Growth of AI," ignited thought-provoking discussions among the audience. Looking back one year ago, I was still deciding which university to pursue my dream course. I went the extra mile on doing research on medical university in Malaysia. I compared the scholarship offered, tuition fee, and even visited the universities one by one to observe the environment. I chose MAHSA University out of the other universities, mainly due to the adequate facilities specialized for every course. I am also fascinated by the sport complex which has well-equipped gym facilities and Olympic depth swimming pool. I like how the students here are kind towards strangers and helpful when I checked in into hostel. It was a good choice of mine. EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA MUSEUM

On the 22nd June 2023, the Faculty of Business, Hospitality, Accounting, and Finance organized an Educational Trip to the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum. The objective of the trip is to enhance the understanding of monetary policy, the roles, and functions of Bank Negara Malaysia. In addition, students were able to learn about FinTech, economic conditions, and the Islamic finance industry. This program also exposes students to interactive learning and provides some positive experiences. A total of 30 students and three lecturers were involved in the event. Upon entering the museum, students were immediately immersed in the captivating history of the central bank of Malaysia. The museum traces Bank Negara Malaysia's inception, dating back to 1959, and highlights its crucial role in shaping Malaysia's economic development. EDUCATIONAL TRIP SAUDAGAR NENAS

On 22nd June 2023, students from Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) went for an industrial visit to Saudagar Nenas, located in Sungai Merab, Kajang. All 32 students and two lecturers who were involve in this visit arrived there approximately around 9:30 a.m. The tour guide introduced various strategies for how the company creates different types of pineapple-based products. Students were introduced to a variety of pineapples and a specific breed called Mb2. It is a hybrid breed of pineapple that mixes five other species of pineapple. During the trip, Saudagar Nenas explained that their marketing process is more focused on Agri-tourism, where they provide swings as a nature lounge so that customers can enjoy the view of the plantation while resting. Moreover, they also exhibit many innovative products available at their café to attract more customers to purchase their products. Industrial Visit to Beryl’s Chocolate Factory

On 22 June 2023, students from the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Accounting Hons went for an industrial visit at Beryl's Factory in Seri Kembangan. At the factory, the tour guide officer explains about the history of cocoa, & the process of making chocolate to the 32 students and two lecturers who are involved in this visit. The explanation includes about the history of chocolate drinks served to the king and queen using unique packaging and other serving methods used in previous centuries. Furthermore, they also explain about the product innovation and marketing strategy used by Beryl’s. Many students were excited to learn about the chocolate history and others information related to the production activities of Beryl’s Factory. From this trip, students not only gain experience on how they produce the chocolate product but also can extract the knowledge of the product innovation.

I have chosen MAHSA University for several compelling reasons that have made it the perfect fit for me. Firstly, MAHSA offers the course I am interested in at a reasonable price, providing excellent value for the quality of education I will receive.
