MAHSA's Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and IT Foster Collaborative Partnerships through MoU Signings


In a significant stride towards enhancing academic collaborations and expanding opportunities for its students, the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and IT at MAHSA University proudly announced the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on 10th May 2023. These MoUs mark the initiation of strategic partnerships with esteemed organizations, aiming to facilitate student transfers, promote green building initiatives, and foster innovation and creativity within the university community. Transfer of Diploma Students:
A Partnership with Spectrum Education Group One of the notable MoUs was signed with Spectrum Education Group, a key player in the education industry. The signing ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Salleh Mohamed Yasin, Director of Spectrum Education Group. This collaboration aligns with MAHSA University's commitment to fostering seamless transitions and educational pathways. The partnership aims to facilitate the transfer of diploma students from Spectrum Education Group to MAHSA University's bachelor programs, providing them with enhanced opportunities for academic and professional growth.

Promoting Sustainable Practices:
MoU with Green Building Index (GBI) In an effort to promote sustainable practices and nurture environmentally conscious professionals, MAHSA University signed an MoU with the Green Building Index (GBI). The signing ceremony involved key representatives, including Assoc. Prof. (Ind.) Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum, Chairman of the GBI Board, and Prof. Dato' Dr. Ikram Shah bin Ismail, Vice Chancellor of MAHSA University. The MoU paves the way for students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and IT, including those pursuing the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Architectural Technology, to acquire GBI Facilitator skills and knowledge. These skills will be integrated into the curriculum, enabling students to gain GBI inspector certification and be exposed to green building principles during their studies.

Fostering Innovation and Creativity:
MoU with Malaysia Innovation, Invention And Creativity Association (Miica) Another significant partnership was forged with the Malaysia Innovation, Invention And Creativity Association (Miica), a prominent organization dedicated to fostering innovation and creativity. Mr. Ganesan, President of Miica, graced the occasion with his presence. The MoU signifies MAHSA University's commitment to providing its students with opportunities to showcase their talents and compete on an international level. Under this partnership, Miica will conduct competitions of international standing at MAHSA University, nurturing a culture of innovation and encouraging students to unleash their creative potential.
