MAHSA University Signs MOU with NIOSH Malaysia

 




    

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between MAHSA University and National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Malaysia to facilitate collaboration in academic and research initiatives in Occupational Safety & Health. This partnership spearheaded by the Faculty of Health Sciences (FOHS), which has recently rolled-out our Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health program, promises to elevate Occupational Safety and Health education in Malaysia and present MAHSA students with special learning opportunities through NIOSH.

Gracing the event was our guest of honor YB Senator Datuk T. Mohan, Vice Chairman of NIOSH and Dato’ Dr. Shahril Haniffa, Group Managing Director of MAHSA

Tuan Haji Ayop Salleh, Executive Director of NIOSH signed the MOU with Mejar (B) Hanif Maidin, Executive Secretary of NIOSH co-signing as witness. While signing on behalf of MAHSA University was Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ikram Shah, Vice Chancellor of MAHSA University and Assoc. Prof Dr. Veronica Chua, Senior Director Academic and Dean of FOHS.

MAHSA University is proud to partner with NIOSH and look forward to working together to blaze a new trail for Occupational Safety and Health in Malaysia.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. PMOA shared this announcement on their social media on September 30th. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year.
