The Academic Affairs and EQUAL (AAE) team held their 5th Academic Transformation Series talk on 19th May 2022.

The talk on Inclusive Curriculum Design and Assessments was delivered by our guest speaker Assoc. Prof. Ir, Dr. Mohd Khairil Rahmat, Acting Deputy President (Academic & Technology) UniKL. Ir. Dr. Khairil is also the Head of the Accreditation Panel (Electrical & Electronics) for the Engineering Accreditation Council Malaysia (EAC) and Board of Engineers Malaysia.

This event was aimed at providing MAHSA academicians with a better understanding of what things are looked at by accreditation panelists in evaluating curriculum and assessment design for inclusivity. It is hoped that this sharing session will help us enhance inclusivity in our future curriculum and assessment design and review exercises.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year.
