MAHSA University Embarks on Beauty and Cosmetic Education & Research with Alha Alfa Cosmetics

Local cosmetic distributor brand Alha Alfa Cosmetics under Alha Alfa Rich Legacy Sdn Bhd (AARLSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAHSA University (MAHSA) today in an effort to empower progress in the national beauty industry through the field of education.

 The event held at MAHSA University marks the partnership between MAHSA and Alha Alfa Rich Legacy Sdn Bhd (AARLSB) to enable an exchange of technical skills and academics in the areas of teaching, training, research and product development. The collaboration includes academic programmes and research efforts, the exchange of information and essential scientific materials, publications, and other relevant resources. This partnership also involves exchanges in research, academic manpower and students, the organisation of national and international conferences, cultural activities, and beauty and health.

According to Dato Sri Al Halim Bin Al Fadzil, this collaboration is the first step towards greater cooperation in the future between MAHSA and Alha Alfa Rich Legacy Sdn Bhd. The creation of a diploma programme in the field of cosmetics and beauty is the primary aim to help Malaysian make-up artists who have been awaiting recognition at university level. Also, this partnership means that aspiring make-up artists will be able to obtain qualifications before embarking on their careers.

 Both parties have begun their respective plans in this effort to develop and boost the beauty and health industry in the country. It is also hoped that this joint effort will create opportunities to explore the international market.

 As an initial step, representatives of both Alha Alfa Cosmetics and MAHSA University will be holding small beauty workshops throughout Malaysia to explain the details of the programme, beginning with Sabah and Sarawak in April 2022 and then throughout West Malaysia.  The signing of the MoU was attended by the Founder of Alha Alfa Rich Legacy, Dato’ Sri Abdul Halim Mohd Al Fadzil (Dato’ Sri Alha Alfa), and witnessed by Professor Tan Sri Mohamed Haniffa, Founder and Pro-Chancellor of MAHSA University, Dato' Dr Shahril Haniffa, MAHSA Group Managing Director, Prof Dato' Dr Ishak, Pro-Chancellor of MAHSA University, and the Managing Director of Alha Alfa Rich Legacy Sdn Bhd, Mr Mohd Al Fareed bin Mohd Al Fadzil. The signing of the MOU was by the Vice-Chancellor of MAHSA University, Dato' Dr Ikram Shah, and Dato' Sri Alha Alfa for AARLSB.

 In conjunction with the MoU signing ceremony, MAHSA announced the appointment of Dato’ Sri Alha Alfa as Adjunct Professor for the MAHSA University Diploma in Beauty, which is expected to commence by April 2022.

 At the same event, MAHSA representatives chose Dato' Dr Norhizan Ismail, the former Deputy Director General (Medical), Ministry of Health Malaysia, and Dato' Eswaran E Perumal, Founder of ES Tutorial and Munshi Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka, as Adjunct Professors of MAHSA University.
