Fostering International Cooperation: RAA Online and MAHSA University

A Memorandum of Understanding between RAAONLINE Medinfo Pvt Ltd, India and MAHSA University took place this afternoon with both parties participating in this event virtually, marking it as yet another momentous milestone which will look into international cooperations in field of medical and healthcare sciences. 

A special mention was also made as part of the introduction to the MOU by Prof. Dr. Srikumar Chakravarthi, Director of Research, Innovation and Postgraduate studies, that this is the first collaboration for MAHSA University with an entirely online entity that has successfully reached out to one hundred thousand medical students and assisted them in their medical education. 

An introduction of the team members of Raaonline was also made by Mdm Priya Vejayan, the International Director of Operations for Raaonline, stationed in Malaysia highlighting how with the Covid-19 Pandemic, technology had rapidly advanced and opened up initiatives in the field of education allowing both institutions in this event to have recognised the significant importance of online education and which has led to its remarkable transformation and innovation in medical and healthcare education. She also added that this MOU will further spark the collaboration for student exchange programmes, virtual simulated lab sessions, sharing of facilitator experts between institutions to support the specialised areas of medical curriculum as well as offer NEET undergraduate and postgraduate training, and Foreign Medical Graduate Exam training for International students. 

RaaOnline is an e-learning platform that specialises in medical education and timely reinforcement for practicing professionals as well as students who have a periodic need for additional support in academics as well as practical-experience-based guidance on day-to-day clinics and cases in the vast areas of medical and healthcare sciences (visit https://raaonline.co.in/ to know more). 

Representing MAHSA University in this MOU was Prof Dato' Dr. Ikram Shah, the Vice Chancellor, while Founder Director Prof. B. Ranjith Karthekeyan represented RaaOnline for the signing of this MOU. Also present at the event were Prof. Dato' Dr. Rusli Nordin, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience and Nursing, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vetriselvan Subramaniyam and Assoc. Prof. Pauraj who are both Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience and Nursing, and Miss Ketharin, Head of Biosciences Programme, and over at Raaonline in India, the event was witnessed by Mdm Jayshree Janakiraman and Dr Shyam Thangaraju.

The ceremony was felicitated by Padmashri M Prabhu Deva, Bollywood actor/ choreographer/ film producer/ director, and Patron to Raaonline, who made a brief online appearance to honour us.

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
