A Hospitality Affair

If you often follow our news, you would have heard of our unique event held monthly called One Day in MAHSA. Well this event allows you to unleash your Superpowers to discover your true calling in your future career. In the last ODIM in January 2023, we were given the pleasure to attend to 200 students and teachers from Sekolah Menengah Engku Husain, Semenyih, Selangor.

Participants had so much fun doing hands-on activities such as napkin folding - a type of decorative folding process done with a napkin and it can be classified as an art or plain hobby. Artistically, napkin folding is most commonly found as a table decoration in fancy restaurants and for the best results, a clean, pressed, and starched square cloth (linen or cotton) napkin is used.

Some of the napkin folding that were taught and practiced that day included, bird of paradise napkin folding, roses napkin folding, crown napkin folding, candle napkin folding and others. Participants also learned how to use a napkin with correct etiquette.

It was a fun and engaging session with all of them enjoying it and it provided them a great exposure to the world of dining.
