Faculty of Health Science's Dean Speaks at Ministry of Health, Indonesia's Health Polytechnic International Conference


The Ministry of Health Indonesia’s Health Polytechnic of Malang (POLKESMA) held their 4th International Conference on Food, Nutrition and Health (ICFNH-2021) on 14th &15th September 2021. The theme of the conference was “Multi Approaches on Cancer and Geriatric Care” . Invited to speak at this conference was MAHSA University’s Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veronica Chua. This is another recognition of the respected-standing of MAHSA academicians in international circles.

Prof. Veronica was also appointed on the panel of scientific reviewers for this conference

The conference which was held virtually was officiated by the director of POLKESMA Mr. Budi Susatia, S.Kp, M.Kes. and had over 600 participants.  The conference was divided 4 parallel tracks namely Midwifery, Nutrition, Aged Care and General Health.

At this conference Prof. Veronica gave a presentation on “Occupational Health and Cancer”, covering latest updates on its prevalence and morbidity, known causes and exposure routes, strategies for prevention and the challenges that lie ahead in preventing occupational cancer. The session was moderated by Ms. Anak Agung Istri Citra Dewiyani, SKM, MMRS. At the end of Prof Veronica’s presentation there was a question and answer session that was light-hearted and educational

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist.
