Organising Committee The 5 th Malaysia International Dental Show 2022 was held from 20 th to 22 nd May at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya. This was the first in-person dental conference and trade fair to be held in Malaysia after a lapse of two years due to the covid-19 pandemic. MAHSA University and Malaysia Dental Industry Association collaborated in organizing the scientific conference and the trade fair respectively for the third time. A campus visit was conducted on 17 th July 2022 with the Malaysian Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MIMLS) President and M edicskills Sdn. Bhd.  to discuss future collaboration with MAHSA University for various events such as organising 7th Congress of the Asia Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists in Malaysia in 2023 (Student Forum) and commercialisation efforts of laboratory facility and services.  The visit and initial discussion was participated by the President of MIMLS, Mdm Harvinder Kaur Lakhbeer Singh, Mr Melvin and Mdm Nur Amirul Farhana from Medic Skills. Assoc Professor Dr. Padmini Hari (Head of Department of Periodontology) conducted a demonstration and hands-on practice using animal jaws for her module on “How to manage and optimise peri-implant soft tissue for long term success” . This module introduces soft tissue augmentation techniques around implants. It is part of the McGann Implantology Malaysia 2022’s “Soft and Hard Tissue Management in Dental Implantology” which was held from 9th to 10th July 2022.

  An information literacy training session was held by MAHSA Library on 30th June 2022 at the Computer Lab 3, Level 3, Empathy Block. The title of this session was Basic Online Database ProQuest searching . This training session conducted by Mr. Md Roslan Osman, Senor Library Executive, was aimed at teaching our students on how to effectively   using subscription based online databases such as the ProQuest database available in MASHA library. It is hoped that this training will help MAHSA students to find accurate information faster through search tips for their assignments and to find research reference materials through this online database for their academic papers, projects and dissertation. A good collaboration pushes the boundaries of both partners. – Neil Blumenthal The area of internationalisation of the curriculum is a major thrust within higher education in pharmacy courses globally. In line with MAHSA’s Internship, Placement and Employability (IPE) initiative, Faculty of Pharmacy and Institut Ilmu Kesehatan (IIK) Bhakti Wiyata, Indonesia agreed for a close International Academic Collaboration. Through this initiative, six IIK students joined the online classes for seven courses of the BPharm (Hons) programme. The courses included Dosage Form Design III (Liquids and Semi Solids), Dosage Form Design V (Novel Drug Delivery System), Clinical Pharmacy I and Pharmacy Practice IV. To extend this collaboration to Research, several IIK students attended and presented their research findings at MAHSA International Pharmacy Conference 2021 (Mi-PHARM 2021). The project team from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FOHS) MAHSA University conducted its first visit to one of the LRT3 sites where they will be implementing our Multi-Modality Dengue Control approach as an Industrial Collaboration Programme with SULRT3 (formerly known as MRCBGK).   Malaysia is a food lover’s paradise and Malaysians enjoy the diverse culinary heritage of its multicultural society. In the true spirit of Malaysian hospitality we cook, serve and we do not want the embarrassment of food shortage during celebration. As a result, a lot of food often goes waste. Generally, Malaysians waste 15,000 tonnes of food every day and this food waste end up in landfills. According to National Solid Waste Management Department, the average waste production by Malaysian increased by approximately 5.18% from 38,563 to 49,670 tons/waste/day (JPSPN, 2021). Although Malaysia’s waste recycling rate does increase simultaneously from 11.5 to 22% for 2020 but Malaysia is still in an alarming state of the available waste (JPSPN, 2021). Through language, we are able to express our ideas and emotions in the forms of signs and symbols which refer to the written letters or articulated phonemes.
