Mahsa University: Shining at MTE SDG Awards with Two Prestigious Wins by Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment and Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience, Nursing

Mahsa University has made a significant impact at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) SDG Awards, securing both a Gold and a Bronze Award across two important categories, furthering their commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These innovations were guided, led, and supported by Professor Dr. Rosnah Binti Mohd Zain under Mahsa Research and Innovation Sdn. Bhd. (MRI).

🏆 Gold Award: Mahsa Solar Go-Kart



Mahsa University’s Mahsa Solar Go-Kart, developed by the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology and led by Ts. Suria Prakkash Vijayasuria, earned top recognition in the Environment & Natural Resources category. This innovative solar-powered vehicle reflects the university’s dedication to sustainability and renewable energy, promoting eco-friendly transportation and advancing SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

🏅 Bronze Award: Device to Detect Multiple RNA/DNA Targets



The Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience, and Nursing at Mahsa University was awarded a Bronze Medal in the Health & Well-Being category for their device to detect multiple RNA/DNA targets for various diseases in molecular diagnostics. This groundbreaking innovation is credited to Associate . Prof. Dr. Venkata Suresh Babu Chinni, Professor Subash Gopinath, and Dr. Sumitha Samuggami. The technology supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), improving disease detection and healthcare outcomes, and contributing to global health advancements.

These outstanding achievements at the MTE SDG Awards highlight Mahsa University’s leadership in driving innovation for a sustainable and healthier future. Their commitment to environmental sustainability and healthcare technology is making a meaningful impact in both local and global contexts.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. Food Hygiene and Safety Study Tour to Yakult Factory in Seremban

On 28 July 2022, The Environment Health Department of   MAHSA University organised a study trip for the students of Faculty of Education and Health Sciences to   the Yakult Factory located at Oakland Industrial Park,   Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Three lecturers and fifteen students from Environmental Health Department and Centre of Education and Language went on this trip.
