MAHSA University Wins Best Design Award at RoboRoarZ 2025 Robotics Competition in Malaysia

A team of talented students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology (FOEBEIT), MAHSA University, made a remarkable debut at the prestigious RoboRoarZ 2025, an international robotics competition held at Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, on 21st–22nd June 2025.

🤖 About the RoboRoarZ Competition

RoboRoarZ is a dynamic, design-driven international robotics competition that pushes the boundaries of creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Over two exciting days, teams from four countries competed using Wefaa’s Smorphi reconfigurable robots, completing complex tasks that tested their skills in design, coding, and strategic thinking.


💪MAHSA University’s Winning Team

Representing MAHSA University, the team included:

- Khantun Moneia

- Li Jin Hang

- Rasel Mohammad

- Badr Almansari (IT students)

- Saran Marutaveeran (Mechanical Engineering student)

Among over 30 competing teams, they stood out by winning the Best Design Award in the Tertiary Autonomous category. This award celebrates their outstanding robot design innovation and technical ingenuity—a significant milestone, especially as it was their first appearance at an international robotics competition.

The team's performance not only showcased their technical expertise and collaborative spirit, but also positioned MAHSA University as a rising education provider in Engineering and IT education in Malaysia.

Ns. Mustopa, M. Kep, a recent PhD graduate from the Faculty of Health Science, Nursing and Education at MAHSA University, has been honoured with Indonesia’s Health Ministry National award for his extraordinary dedication in building and developing health services at the world's largest archipelagic state – Indonesia.   Driven by extraordinary passion and desire to provide quality health care service for everyone, Dr. Mustopa successfully created an integrated health service model in Islamic boarding schools for local residents and the Husnul Khotimah Islamic Boarding School. Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. PMOA shared this announcement on their social media on September 30th. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year. She received her early education at SJK (C) Kuala Rompin and SMK Rompin before continuing her studies at Kolej Mara Banting.
