Youth Future Leader Conference 2023: Impactful Creative Solutions

The success of the "Youth Future Leader Conference Batch 2" and the effectiveness of its creative solutions were undoubtedly intertwined with the delegates' enthusiastic participation. The significance of the event extended beyond the classroom sessions, encompassing the sense of unity within the groups formed during the conference. This convergence of individuals with diverse backgrounds culminated in the establishment of profound connections. The assembly comprised 20 delegates representing various countries: 10 from Mongolia, 3 from the Philippines, 6 from Cambodia, and 1 from Myanmar. Facilitating the event were 4 dedicated committee members, on the 20th of July 2023.

The day commenced with a Campus Tour at MAHSA University, offering the delegates an opportunity to explore the library, the Biology laboratory, the International Student Center, and more. A delightful lunch awaited them at M-Brasserie, where they relished their meals while overlooking the serene Swimming Pool.

The afternoon session featured a captivating Digital Marketing class by Madam Erma from Faculty of Business Hospitality Accounting and Finance. The day's educational activities concluded with a significant meeting involving the Dean and COO of MAHSA University. Additionally, the delegates engaged in insightful group discussions with MAHSA's international students who hailed from FOBHAF. The delegates found immense enjoyment in these interactions and eagerly began making plans for future visits and upcoming programs.

The upcoming cohort of leaders, often referred to as the "leaders of tomorrow," is commonly acknowledged as the generation of youthful leaders. At MAHSA we belief that young individuals are currently assuming leadership roles as they are active participants in our society, actively contributing to the social, cultural, and economic advancement of our communities.

To aid young people in their present and future roles in community service and leadership development, it's crucial to nurture leadership, mutual comprehension, and a dedication to serving the youth.

Hence, it's imperative to cultivate leadership skills, interpersonal understanding, and a commitment to aiding others. The cultivation of current and future leadership, as well as facilitating youngsters in serving their communities both now and in the future, are fundamental. Through youth exchange programs, such as this, there's a necessity to foster leadership attributes, promote cross-cultural awareness, encourage dedication to service, and uphold long-term commitments.

What's the rationale behind the need for youth programs, one might ask? Youth exchange initiatives and youth-driven movements have an influence extending beyond their local spheres. Youth gatherings and training workshops cultivate relationships and capacities. These programs furnish opportunities for young people to grow both organizationally and professionally.

Why should the promotion of youth leadership be advocated for? It's worth contemplating that every young person holds the potential to be a leader. While not everyone may feel comfortable leading meetings or addressing gatherings, they might excel in discussing projects with teachers or composing academic or professional papers. Ventures led by young individuals are denoted as "prospects."

Genuine leadership development necessitates occasional withdrawal, allowing young leaders to take the reins. Assigning responsibilities to youth before considering doing them personally can yield negative results. Holding leaders accountable for unfulfilled tasks is indispensable.

The aptitudes and support provided to a group should also be evaluated to ensure that expectations are clear, timelines are established, and any supplementary support requirements are acknowledged. It's imperative to ensure that young leaders receive the necessary guidance to successfully fulfill their assigned responsibilities.

MAHSA University, MAHSA Avenue International College and Haniffa Business School, are proud to have hosted this group of young delegates on their venture toward Leadership under the Youth Leadership Conference.
