Engineering, Science and Technology Exhibition 2022

 


Engineering, Science & Technology Exhibition 2022 (ESTE’22) was organized by Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment on 17th of February 2022 (Thursday). The aim of this exhibition was to nourish students’ research, design and innovation skills in multidisciplinary area related to engineering, science and technology. The Faculty’s mission was to support and encourage its students to share their knowledge, research work and experience during the exhibition which ultimately will contribute to the development in engineering, science and technology.

ESTE’22 was supported by Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMeche) and Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), with  invited keynote speakers from IEM, Mr. Ricky Liew who presented his talk on Apollo 13 - an Engineering Marvel. How can I be one of them?

Student participants showed their research projects in form of posters or prototypes. Participants of ESTE’22 were from MAHSA University. Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and State University of Malang, Indonesia. All the participants were evaluated by external judges from the industry - KNX Training, Mach3 Engineering and MEKA Automation as well as academic partners from UiTM, IUKL, UTeM, UNITEN and SEGi University.

In this exhibition, we also conducted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with two industry partners as our approach to amalgamate the roles of academic and industry in tertiary education and experience.

Siew, CEO represented of KNX and Mr Hong Chong Kee (Director MEKA Automation Sdn Bhd), Ms Woo Chee Kuan (Director MEKA Automation Sdn Bhd), Mr Mohd Khairul Azwan Mamat (Operation Director ATISB (under MEKA Automation Sdn Bhd), Mr Yap Zhen Hao, Mr Aljay Ng Chong Ming and from MAHSA University, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ikram Shah Ismail and Director of Postgraduate, Research and Innovation, Professor Dr. Srikumar Chakravarthi together with Dr. Iman Farshchi, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment were present.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. The MedPath event took place at MAHSA University, providing an immersive experience for students from Kwang Hua Private High School in Klang.
