MAHSA University's Faculty of Medicine, Bioscience and Nursing welcomes the incumbent Dean, Professor Dr Rusli Bin Nordin, (MBBS (Monash), MPH (Malaya), DrMedSc (Tokyo), GCHE (Monash), HonFFOM (Ireland), FAOEM (Malaysia), FPHM (Malaysia), FRSPH (UK), AM (Malaysia) who is one of the country's most prestigious Professors of Public Health Medicine.

Professor Rusli has made important contributions in leadership positions at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Monash University and Taylor's University, and he brings substantisl research experience with him. Professor Rusli has been an enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to enlightening students in all of his fields of expertise.

Professor Rusli has supervised a large number of PhD and Masters students, and he has received various research awards and grants, as well as published numerous scientific papers in prestigious journals. Despite his hectic schedule, he believes in a balanced lifestyle and makes time for running marathons and gathering.

We welcome Professor Rusli to our faculty and hope that our new leader will enjoy our atmosphere and find complete harmony with us all in the next months and years.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page.
