Merdeka Bersama MAHSA Telematch

The one thing sports does best is to unite everyone regardless of how competitive one may be and it was without a doubt the best thing we saw at the Merdeka Bersama MAHSA Telematch last Thursday. With 8 highly competitive teams of 10 members each from Dentistry, Pharmacy, Business, Hospitality, Medicine, Health Sciences, Education and languages, and Finance, the energy level was at its peak that evening as they battled amongst each other in 5 different sports categories which led them to the ultimate Tug of War!

Congratulations to the winning teams and those who participated in and supported the event. Thank you to each one of you for making this event a success and kudos to our Student Central team and our Student Representative Council for making this possible.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year.
