Congratulations to Ashley Wong En, Goh Shuen Tong, Parvina A/P Ravichandran and Tan Xin Lin from the Faculty of Health Science, Nursing and Education (FOHSNE) at MAHSA University for receiving MAHSA scholarships! These awards were presented by our esteemed Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman of MAHSA Professor Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa Bin Hj. Abdullah.

Ashley Wong En from Cohort 10/23 of Bachelor of Medical Imaging, Parvina A/P Ravichandran from Cohort 21 of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) and Tan Xin Lin from Cohort 10/23 of Bachelor of Science (Hons) Nursing received MAHSA Blue Ribbon Scholarships in recognition of their academic excellence in their programmes.

Another student Goh Shuen Tong's from Cohort 22 Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) received the Athletic Excellence Award (AEA), which is awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional sporting achievements at national and international levels, Goh Shuen Tong emerged champion in SAGA Games 2024 for women doubles and mixed doubles badminton. She will also be representing Sabah in these 2 events at the upcoming SUKMA 2024 games.

These students’ accomplishments serve as an inspiration to their fellow students to strive for excellence in both academic as well as extra-curricular pursuits. These awards are also testament to the academic and athletic excellence fostered at MAHSA University and our commitment to award scholarships to deserving students.

Shattering Stereotypes: First Malaysian Indigenous Dentist

The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) recently extended their congratulations to Dr Tan Bee Hui, who became the first indigenous person to earn the title of Dentist. JAKOA's message was shared on their TikTok page (@jakoamalaysia) based on a post made by the Malaysia Orang Asli Students' Association (PMOA) on their Facebook page. PMOA shared this announcement on their social media on September 30th. Tan Bee Hui A/P Tan Boon Huat is MAHSA University Dental Faculty Alumni who successfully completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery earlier this year.
