Malaysians are currently experiencing the impact of climate change as the ambient temperature rises, frequency and intensity of heat waves increases, rainfall gets heavier with increased frequency and intensity of storm surge events. Agriculture and Fisheries industries have been severely impacted causing a rise in food prices and threatening food security. Fruit seasons are off, and even though durian season is always appreciated, the other impacts are not as desirable. We must make changes now, or our children will no longer be able to enjoy the beauty and prosperity that the environment has brought Malaysia through the generations.
